Looking south from Brough Haven, over the mudflats and reed beds to the River Humber and muted horizon of North Lincolnshire beyond. The reeds and grass are rimed with frost and the golden light of early morning picks out the navigational beacon on the western promontory below the entrance to the Haven.
I like how the morning haze has muted the silhouettes of the distant trees and pylons on the south bank. The result is a subtle layered effect – like paper cutouts beneath a watercolour-washed sky.
