Pebble Dash

Low view point landscape photograph of the Humber Bridge at sunrise from North Ferriby

On this occasion I stopped at Ferriby with my camera on the way to work. The sun had just risen above the horizon, setting the sky ablaze. The foreshore at North Ferriby still has the vestiges of some timber structure – the stubby remains jut from the mud and stones.

Crouching low with my camera provided an opportunity for an interesting composition. The pebbles in the foreground loom large and distant south tower of the Humber Bridge is framed between the algae-coated timbers.
