Description
Unusual weather conditions make this image of the Humber Bridge particularly spectacular. The south tower is almost lost to view, engulfed in the bank of cloud and fog that is rolling up the river.
The fog was the result of a inversion where the usual atmospheric change in temperature with altitude is reversed. Visibility in the fog on the bridge itself was reduced almost zero.
This image was shortlisted for the Landscape Photographer of the Year prize, appearing in the accompanying book and exhibition at the National Theatre.
