Description
The remains of timber staithes that once supported the quayside alongside Hull’s St Andrews Dock. A solitary iron bollard perches precariously where once trawlers and merchant ships would have moored. The treacherous waters of the River Humber swirl around the timber posts – it won’t be too long before the river finally claim what is inevitably due.
This photograph was exhibited in BBC Humber’s Three Quarters Sky exhibition which toured various galleries in the East Riding.
